In order to accommodate ever rising demands for education amongst Maasai girls and young women, MWEDO recently opened a secondary school for girls. The school began early 2011 with over 100 students. The school offers sciences and business learning including Arts and cultural studies. Almost all the students are boarders since most of them come from far to reach and underserved communities. The school enables girls to access formal education opportunity while engaging themselves in other technical skills including learning handmade products and continuing indigenous knowledge.
